Disperse Yellow 3 [2-(4′-acetamidophenylazo)-4-methylphenol] (DY3) belongs to the class of monoazo (heterocyclic) dyes. It is carcinogenic in nature.[1][2]

Disperse Yellow 3 has been used to study its degradation process by P. ostreatus using reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and UV–visible spectrophotometry.[3]
