Steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1) regulates multiple genes involved in the adrenal and gonadal development and in the biosynthesis of a variety of hormones, including adrenal and gonadal steroids, anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), and gonadotropins. SF-1 belongs to the fushi tarazu factor-1 (FTZ-F1) subfamily of orphan nuclear receptors. In the adult ovary, SF-1 localizes to theca/interstitial cells.
Specificity
Recognizes SF-1.
Immunogen
DNA binding domain of SF-1 from mouse, produced in E. coli as a GST fusion protein and partially purified via GST-agarose column chromatography
Application
Anti-SF-1 Antibody is a high quality Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody for the detection of SF-1 & has been validated in WB.

Epigenetic silencing of steroidogenic factor 1 (SF1) is lost in endometriosis, potentially contributing to de novo local steroidogenesis favoring inflammation and growth of ectopic endometrial tissue. In this study, we examine the impact of SF1 expression in the eutopic uterus
Human DAX1 duplications cause dosage-sensitive sex reversal (DSS) whereby chromosomally XY individuals can develop as females due to gonadal dysgenesis. However, the mechanism of DSS-adrenal hypoplasia congenita on X, gene 1 (DAX1) action in the fetal testis is unknown. We
