General description

Clomipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant used to many conditions from major depression and panic disorder to narcolepsy and obsessive compulsion disorder (OCD). This certified solution standard is suitable for use in LC/MS or GC/MS applications for clinical toxicology, forensic analysis, urine drug testing, or pharmaceutical research.

Application

  • Clomipramine hydrochloride solution for in vitro depression models: Research has utilized Clomipramine hydrochloride solution to develop and validate in vitro models of depression, highlighting its role as a serotonin uptake inhibitor. This aids in the pharmacokinetic profiling of antidepressants and enhances understanding of their mechanisms (Menshutina et al., 2022).
  • Application in neurotransmitter research: Clomipramine hydrochloride solution has been investigated as a tricyclic antidepressant in studies of neurotransmitter systems, particularly for its high purity and effectiveness in serotonin reuptake inhibition, essential for neurotransmitter research (Teixeira Tarley et al., 2022).
