Integrin, α E (ITGAE, CD103) is an integrin polypeptide which combines with integrin β 7 to from the heterodimeric integrin molecule αEβ7. The primary ligand of integrin αEβ7 is the adhesion molecule E-cadherin expressed by mature epithelial cells. αEβ7 is believe to be involved in functions such as T cell homing.

Rabbit polyclonal anti-ITGAE antibody is used to tag integrin, α E (CD103) for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques such as immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of integrin, α E (CD103) in the assembly and function of integrin αEβ7 which is involved in processes such as the binding E-cadherins.
