The epitope recognized by PLA0232 maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta using the numbering given in entry AAA66475.1 (GeneID 2932).
Physical form
Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7 to 8 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Other Notes
Glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3beta) is a proline-directed serine-threonine kinase identified as a kinase responsible for the phosphorylation and inactivation of glycogen synthase. GSK3beta is a critical component of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, and its activity results in the inhibition of Wnt signaling by mediating the degradation of beta-catenin. In addition to the Wnt-signaling pathway, GSK3beta is also involved in the Hedgehog, Notch and insulin signaling pathways.
