Biochem/physiol Actions

Angiogenic factor of the VEGF family. Ligand for the VEGFR-1 (flt-1) receptor and for neuropilin-1. PlGF-2 differs from PlGF-1 and PlGF-3 in having a heparin binding domain.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in 30% acetonitrile and 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid containing 0.5 mg bovine serum albumin.

Analysis Note

The biological activity is measured by its ability to bind to immobilized Flt1/Fc chimera in ELISA.
