Application

Calcium D-gluconate monohydrate has been used as a soluble precursor for developing the highly effective, durable, and cheap CaO-based sorbents suitable for CO2 capture.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Calcium gluconate exhibits protective impact against osteoarthritis (OA) in Sprague-Dawley rats by inhibiting COX-2 as well as other related chondrocyte apoptosis.[2] It also facilitates the excision of skin necrosis by versajet hydrosurgery due to calcium gluconate extravasation in pediatric patients.[3]
