General description

Cyanoborohydride, polymer supported: is a polymer-supported reducing agent used in reductive amination reactions at room temperature.[1]

application

Polymer supported cyanoborohydride (PSCBH) has been used in the reductive alkylation aminocyclitols for the preparation of corresponding secondary amines.[1]
It can also be used:
  • In combination with manganese dioxide (MnO2) for one-pot conversion of alcohols to secondary or tertiary amines.[2]
  • In the synthesis of natural products, (±)-oxomaritidine and (±)-epimaritidine.[3]
