Description générale

Anti-JAM-A antibody, Mouse monoclonal, (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma J10.4 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human JAM. Junctional adhesion molecule A (JAM-A) is expressed at tight junctions of endothelial and epithelial cells as well as on a variety of hematopoietic cells. It belongs to the transmembrane IgG glycoprotein family and is also expressed in monocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils, dendritic cells, platelets, and spermatozoa. The JAM-A or F11R gene is mapped to human chromosome 1q23.3.

Spécificité

Anti-JAM-A antibody, Mouse monoclonal recognizes human JAM-A.

Immunogène

derived from the hybridoma J10.4 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human JAM fusion protein.

Application

Anti-JAM-A antibody, Mouse monoclonal has been used in:
  • western blotting
  • staining for confocal microscopy
  • immunoprecipitation
  • immunocytochemistry
  • flow cytometry

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Junctional adhesion molecule A(JAM-A) function has been linked with regulation of cell migration/invasion, platelet adhesion, cell polarity, cell proliferation, and epithelial or endothelial barrier function. However, the mechanisms by which JAM-A mediates these processes have not been well elucidated. JAM-A functional significance is connected with inflammation, angiogenesis, hypertension, ischemia/reperfusion, and atherosclerosis. JAM-A has also been linked to breast, endometrial, renal cell carcinomas and gastric cancer.

Forme physique

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Stockage et stabilité

For extended storage, freeze at –20 °C in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
