General description

Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) is a crystalline, thermoplastic, water-soluble polymer that is commercially available.

Application

PEO (Mv ~ 1,000,000, powder) can be used in the fabrication of hollow TiO2 fibers, which can be used for a variety of applications such as drug delivery, catalysts, sensors, and electric devices. It can also be used as an electrolyte for the formation of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).
