Descripción general
El polímero del ácido 12-hidroxi-octadecanoico con α-hidro-ω-hidroxipoli(oxi-1,2-etanediil), un tensioactivo no iónico independiente del pH, es un solubilizante y emulsionante eficaz. Es soluble en medios acuosos y disolventes orgánicos polares; sin embargo, no es soluble en disolventes apolares. Su estructura tiene ácido 12-hidroxiesteárico (parte lipófila) y polietilenglicol (parte hidrófila).
Aplicación
- El polímero del ácido 12-hidroxi-octadecanoico con α-hidro-ω-hidroxipoli(oxi-1,2-etanediil) se ha utilizado:
- en la disolución de dexametasona (DEX) para inyectar por vía intraperitoneal a los ratones con el fin de probar su fuerza de agarre y medir la fuerza muscular
- en la preparación de roflumilast para tratar conejos y cobayas con el fin de estudiar los mecanismos y la sensibilidad farmacológica de las respuestas hipertusivas inducidas por ozono
- para disolver la finerenona para aplicación por vía oral en estudios in vivo
Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas
El polímero del ácido 12-hidroxi-octadecanoico con α-hidro-ω-hidroxipoli(oxi-1,2-etanediil) se utiliza principalmente como solubilizante en formulaciones parenterales y orales. Se prefiere para el cribado in vitro y los estudios de eficacia in vivo de los compuestos. El polímero del ácido 12-hidroxi-octadecanoico con α-hidro-ω-hidroxipoli(oxi-1,2-etanediil) se utiliza también en formulaciones oftálmicas, macromoléculas, supositorios y proteicas debido a sus características de solubilización y perfiles de inocuidad. Puede formar micelas que suelen oscilar entre 10 y 15 nm. El polímero del ácido 12-hidroxi-octadecanoico con α-hidro-ω-hidroxipoli(oxi-1,2-etanediil) puede utilizarse para desarrollar formulaciones de microemulsión IV.

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. This product can be stored at room temperature. Products that are robust in nature and extremely stable, in the original unopened container, are not assigned an expiration date or retest schedule. These products will have no dating reported on either the label or the Certificate of Analysis.
Products that are not assigned an expiration or retest date are covered by a warranty period of 1 year from the date of product shipment.
