Analysis Note

Ravensara aromatica, which is a member of the laurel family, is a tree indigenous to Madagascar. The aromatic oil derived from its leaves and stems is used in the perfume industry and in herbal-based medicinal preparations as an antiseptic, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral. This application illustrates the separation of several of the more significant compounds on the SLS-5ms.
