General description

Solid phase extraction apparatus uses glass vials or tubes for sample collection and concentration. Some sorbents require large desorption volume than small SPE cartridges in such case SPE tubes were used.

Application

Empty SPE Tube (no frits) was coupled with closed-face polystyrene cassette containing glass fibre filters in a method to reduce the interference from vapour solvent caused in vapour fraction, during mist sampling and analysis, in an experiment conducted to study the occupational exposure to mineral oil metalworking fluid (MWFs) Mist.

Features and Benefits

When used in conjunction with SPE Tube Adapters, empty SPE tubes can be stacked on top of a standard SPE cartridge during processing. The empty SPE cartridge acts as a reseroir to accommodate larger sampling volumes.
