The gene encoding phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 2, mitochondrial (PEPCK-M) or PCK2 is localized on human chromosome 14q11.2–q12.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence KPWKPGDKEPCAH from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_004554.2.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 2, mitochondrial (PEPCK-M) or PCK2 has a role in gluconeogenesis and TCA cycle. It converts oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate. Elevated levels of this protein are observed in non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).
