About 42% is a mixture of cis-9,trans-11, and trans-9, cis-11 which travel as one band; trans-10,cis-12 is about 44%; cis-10,cis-12 is about 10% and the balance is about 5% of a mixture of other isomers (which includes trans-9,trans-11, etc.)

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) describes the positional and geometric isomers of C18:2 fatty acids (FA) with a conjugated double bond. cis-9, trans-11 CLA are considered as the major isomers of CLA, based on in vitro experiments and animal studies in milk.[1] The major source of CLA in human diet is the ruminant fat.[2]
