This product is not directly soluble in water and is tested for solubility in 1M Ammonium hydroxide at 50 mg/mL. This material is also soluble in 1M Sodium hydroxide. Alternatively, anhydrous DMSO may also be used to dissolve this material at 90 mg/ml. An identical Methotrexate hydrate product, A6770, has a datasheet posted to the website. Methoxtrexate is soluble in 1M NaOH or NH4OH (10 mg/ml). For use in cell culture, sodium carbonate buffer (pH 9.0-9.5) can be used to dissolve methotrexate.
