Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-4 (IGFBP-4) is a 26kD (approx.) protein expressed highly in non-paranchymal cells of the liver. IGFBP-4 is also expressed in spleen, liver, lung, kidney, adrenal, testis, heart, brain cortex, stomach and hypothalamus. It has a pivotal role in protecting cells from overstimulation caused by IGFs or towards activating the alternate transmembrane signaling pathways that are inhibited by IGF exposure. Anti-Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4(IGFBP-4) antibody can be used in western blotting. Goat anti-IGFBP-4 antibody reacts specifically with recombinant human IGFBP-4. The product has shown no cross-reactivity for recombinant human IGFBP-1, recombinant human IGFBP-2, recombinant human IGFBP-3, recombinant human IGFBP-5 and recombinant human IGFBP-6.
Specificity
By immunoblotting and ELISA, the antibody show no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IGFBP-2, recombinant human IGFBP-3, recombinant human IGFBP-1, recombinant human IGFBP-5, and recombinant human IGFBP-6.
Immunogen
purified, NSO-derived, recombinant human insulin-like growth factor binding protein 4.
Application
Anti-Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-4(IGFBP-4) antibody can be used in neutralization and indirect ELISA.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 5% trehalose.
cDNA clones encoding a novel insulin-like growth factor-binding protein (IGFBP) purified from rat serum and human bone cell-conditioned medium have been isolated from rat liver and human placenta, liver, and ovary cDNA libraries. The deduced amino acid sequences of the
