Anti-Human Kappa Light Chain antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Immunoglobulin κ constant (IGKC) is a human gene that encodes the constant domain of κ-type light chains for antibodies. It is found on chromosome 2 in humans. IGKC acts as a strong prognostic marker in several human solid tumors, including breast cancer. Its expression may have a role for humoral immunity in breast cancer progression. IGKC is also found to be expressed in non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) and may act as a prognostic marker in NSCLC, supporting emerging treatment concepts that exploit the humoral immune response. Its has an independent protective impact on disease-free survival (DFS) and breast cancer-specific overall survival in node-negative breast cancer. IGKC acts as a novel diagnostic marker for risk stratification in human cancer and may help to exploit the humoral immune response for anticancer therapy.

Biomarkers of the immune system are currently not used as prognostic factors in breast cancer. We analyzed the association of the B cell/plasma cell marker immunoglobulin kappa C (IGKC) and survival of untreated node-negative breast cancer patients. IGKC expression was
Immunoglobulin κ constant (IGKC) gene has recently been identified as a strong prognostic marker in several human solid tumors, including breast cancer. Although the mechanisms underlying the IGKC signature are not yet known, identification of tumor-infiltrating plasma cells as the

Although the central role of the immune system for tumor prognosis is generally accepted, a single robust marker is not yet available. On the basis of receiver operating characteristic analyses, robust markers were identified from a 60-gene B cell-derived metagene
A prognostic impact of immunoglobulin kappa C (IGKC) expression has been described in cancer. We analysed the influence of B-cell and plasma cell markers, as well as IGKC expression, in non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) using immunohistochemistry on a tissue microarray.
