Gene Information

human ... TLE3(7090)

General description

TLE3 is known to function as a transcriptional coregulator of adipogenesis. It interacts with HESX1 and PROP1 to regulate transcriptional expression.
Rabbit Anti-TLE3 antibody recognizes human, zebrafish, rat, mouse, and canine TLE3.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human TLE3

Application

Rabbit Anti-TLE3 antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 2.5μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The TLE genes are differentially expressed and encode nuclear proteins, consistent with the presence of sequence motifs associated with nuclear functions. These genes are the human homologues of Drosophila groucho, a member of the Notch signaling pathway which controls a number of different cell-fate choices in invertebrates and vertebrates.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: GSSSGLLALGALGSQAHLTVKDEKNHHELDHRERESSANNSVSPSESLRA

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.

Pituitary hormone deficiency causes short stature in one in 4000 children born and can be caused by mutations in transcription factor genes, including HESX1, PROP1, and POU1F1. HESX1 interacts with a member of the groucho-related gene family, TLE1, through an
