D site of albumin promoter (albumin D-box) binding protein or DBP is a transcription factor that belongs to the PAR bZIP family. DBP is known to interact with promoter sequences in genes such as CYP2A5, CYP2A5 and albumin. Furthemore, Dbp is reportedly involved in the transcription of certain circadian clock genes. Rabbit Anti-DBP (AB1) antibody recognizes human, mouse, rat, bovine, and canine DBP.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human DBP
Application
Rabbit Anti-DBP (AB1) antibody can be used for western blot assays at a dilution of 1.0μg/ml. The antibody can also be used for IHC applications at 4-8μg/ml, using paraffin-embedded tissues.
Biochem/physiol Actions
DBP is a member of the PAR bZIP (proline and acidic amino acid-rich basic leucine zipper) transcription factor family (Khatib et al., 1994.

The transcription factors BMAL1 and CLOCK drive the circadian transcription of clock and clock-controlled genes, such as Dbp. To investigate the kinetics of BMAL1 binding to target genes in real time, we generated a cell line harboring tandem arrays of
Introduction of fetal cell cycle genes into damaged adult hearts has emerged as a promising strategy for stimulating proliferation and regeneration of postmitotic adult cardiomyocytes. We have recently identified Fam64a as a fetal-specific cell cycle promoter in cardiomyocytes. Here, we
