General description

Boscalid is a fungicide, which belongs to the carboxamide class of fungicides.[1][2] Its mode of action involves binding to the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase in mitochondria and thus inhibits the fungal respiration.[2]

Application

Boscalid may be used as a reference standard in the determination of boscalid in fruits and vegetable samples using ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS).[3]
