General description

Purified mouse monoclonal antibody generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with the specified immunogen and fusing splenocytes with mouse myleloma cells. Recognizes the ~29-32 kDa α1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 subunits of the 20S proteasome.
Recognizes α1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 subunits of 20S proteasome in human placental proteasome preparations.
This Anti-20S Proteasome alpha-1, 2, 3, 5, 6, & 7 Subunits Antibody is validated for use in WB, IP, ELISA, IF, ICC and IHC for the detection of 20S Proteasome alpha-1, 2, 3, 5, 6, & 7 Subunits.

Immunogen

Epitope: within the prosbox I motif common to α subunits (TVWSPQGRLHQVEYAMEA)
dinitrophenylated proteasomes

Application

Immunoblotting (1:1000, chemiluminescence)
Immunoprecipitation (not recommended)
ELISA (see comments)
Immunofluorescence (see application references)
Immunocytochemistry (see application references)
Immunohistochemistry (see application references)
Frozen Sections (see application references)

Warning

Toxicity: Highly Toxic (H)

Analysis Note

Positive Control
Human placental tissue

Other Notes

Immunoblotting using a human placental proteasome preparation yields two bands at ~29 kDa and ~32 kDa. In ELISA the antibody reacts with the peptide sequence TVWSPQGRLHQVEYAMEA encompassing the prosbox I motif common to α-type subunits. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual systems.

The conserved SKN-1A/Nrf1 transcription factor regulates the expression of proteasome subunit genes and is essential for maintenance of adequate proteasome function in animal development, aging, and stress responses. Unusual among transcription factors, SKN-1A/Nrf1 is a glycoprotein synthesized in the endoplasmic

Ubiquitin-like domain-containing C-terminal domain phosphatase 1 (UBLCP1), an FCP/SCP phosphatase family member, was identified as the first proteasome phosphatase. UBLCP1 binds to proteasome subunit Rpn1 and dephosphorylates the proteasome in vitro However, it is still unclear which proteasome subunit(s) are

Until recently, the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and macroautophagy/autophagy were considered to be two independent systems that target proteins for degradation by proteasomes or via lysosomes, respectively. Here, we report that TRIM44 (tripartite motif containing 44) is a novel link that
