Protein prune homolog, otherwise known as PRUNE or Drosophila-related expressed sequence 17, is a phosphodiesterase enzyme belonging to the PPase class C family. PRUNE targets cAMP and cGMP second messengers and plays a role in cell proliferation and motility. It is overexpressed in various sarcomas, including leiomyosarcomas, malignant fibrous histiocytomas, and malignant liposarcomas.
