General description

A fluorine analog of the amyloidophilic fluorescent probe BSB (Cat. No. 286895) that crosses the blood-brain barrier and displays low toxicity (LD50 >80 mg/kg). Suitable for non-invasive amyloid visualization in living transgenic Tg2576 mice by using 19F and 1H-MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). Also useful for staining plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in brain tissue sections of Alzheimer′s diseased patients with improved sensitivity, and reduced background.
