Gene Information
human ... EIF2AK4(440275)
General description
GCN2 (EIF2AK4) belongs to a family of kinases that phosphorylate the alpha subunit of eukaryotic translation initiation factor-2 (EIF2S1) to downregulate protein synthesis in response to varied cellular stresses.
Product Source: N-terminal GST-tagged, recombinant, human GCN2 full length, expressed by baculovirus in Sf21 insect cells. The recombinant protein contains the amino acid substitution E556G with reference to GenPept NP_001013725. E556G is reported in GenPept CAH10626.
