General description

Plate Count Agar plates are Ready-to-use, sterile 90mm plates for the enumeration of the total viable count. The pH is in the optimum range of 6.8-7.2 for the growth of bacteria. The media is relatively rich in its nutrients and does not contain any inhibitors or indicators. The enzymatic digest of casein serves as a nitrogen source with high levels of free amino acids followed by yeast extract which is a rich source of vitamins. The carbon source for the growth of bacteria is served by glucose thereby providing efficient growth of bacteria.
