General description

Butane-1-sulfonic acid sodium salt is commonly used as an ion-pairing reagent in ion-pair chromatography (IPC).

Application

Butane-1-sulfonic acid sodium salt can be used as anion-pair agent in the determination of biogenic amines (BA):

  • In tomato by ion-pair chromatography coupled toa potentiometric detector.
  • Inalcoholic beverages by HPLC coupled to a potentiometric detector for foodquality control.
