General description
ChIRP (Chromatin Isolation by RNA Purification), allows recovery of specific segments of DNA and proteins using chromatin associated RNA as a target for biotinylated antisense probes. The Magna ChIRP Negative Control Probe Set contains 48 predesigned 20-mer DNA oligonucleotides tiled along and complementary to the mRNA sequence of Escherichia coli lacZ (?-galactosidase). All probes are biotin-TEG-labeled at the 3-prime end. Because LacZ gene is normally absent from mammalian cells, this primer set is ideal for use as negative control when performing ChIRP experiments with mammalian cells. This probe set is fully compatible with the MAGNA CHIRP® kits (cat. # 17-10494 and 17-10495).
Application
The Magna ChIRP Negative Control Probe Set contains 48 predesigned 20-mer DNA oligonucleotides tiled along and complementary to the mRNA sequence of lacZ (Β-galactosidase) and is used as a negative control for ChIRP experiments.
