General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Li-based complex hydrides; Li alanates are promising materials for hydrogen storage owing to their high H content and interesting desorption kinetic properties at moderate temps. Li3AlH6 is formed as an intermediate species during the decomposition of LiAlH4. Metal hydrides that can store high volumes of hydrogen at ambient conditions which can be released during combustion show promising applications in fuel cell propulsion systems.

Complex metal hydrides are considered as a class of candidate materials for hydrogen storage. Lithium-based complex hydrides including lithium alanates (LiAlH(4) and Li(3)AlH(6)) are among the most promising materials owing to its high hydrogen content. In the present work, we
