General description

1-Fluorodecane is a 1-fluoroalkane.[1] It undergoes substitution reaction with LiCu(CH₃)₂, LiCu₂(CH₃)₃, Li₂Cu(CH₃)₃, LiCu(CH₃)₃, Li₂Cu(CH₃)₃, Li₂Cu₃(CH₃)₅ and CH₃Li to afford n-undecane (in different yields).[2] 1-Fluorodecane is identified as one of the bio-active compound in the ethanol extract of the stem-bark of Albizia chevalieri [3] and Bridelia ferruginea by GS-MS analysis.
