General description

1-Pentadecanol is a linear alcohol. Vapor-phase composition of 1-pentadecanol in supercritical carbon dioxide at 323.15K has been evaluated by a flow-type apparatus.[1] Molar heat capacities of 1-pentadecanol has been evaluated between 300K and 370K.[2]

Application

1-Pentadecanol may be employed as starting reagent for the asymmetric synthesis of jaspine B.[3]
