Application

Perfluorooctanes can be used as a fluorous solvent for aerobic oxidation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds in fluorous biphasic systems.[1] It can also be employed in the synthesis of perfluoroalkyl-substituted bis(oxazolines).[2]
