General description

Vanadium (IV) oxide sulfate hydrate is a blue crystalline solid. It is soluble in water and posseses weak oxidizing or reducing properties.

Application

Vanadium (IV) oxide sulfate hydrate has been used to generate vanadiumions, which can be introduced in saponite clay by hydrothermal process.

VOSO4 and anthraquinone-2,7-disulfonicacid can be used as a redox couple to prepare aqueous organic redox flowbattery (AORFB) stack.
