General description

2-Azacyclononanone forms complexes with hydrated lanthanides trifluoroacetate in ethanol[1]. It reacts with mercury(II)acetate and erbium(III)nitrate in methanol to yield the heterocyclic complex [2].

Application

2-Azacyclononanone has been used as an internal standard liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection method for the determination of caprolactam in the aqueous food simulant 3% acetic acid (w/v)[3].
