Fluorescein isothiocyanate–dextran is an anionic fluorescent probe. The carboxyl group provides the negative charge, which improves the overall permeability of the molecule. It is supplied as a yellow powder that is freely soluble in water and electrolyte solutions. Fluorescein isothiocyanate–dextran is insoluble in most organic samples such as ethanol, methanol, acetone, and chloroform., however, it dissolves in DMSO, formamide, and a few other polar organic solvents.
Application
Dextran labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate for possible use in perfusion studies in animals.
Fluorescein isothiocyanate–dextran has an application of cell analysis, Dextran labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate for possible use in perfusion studies in animals. FITC-dextrans are primary source of studying permeability and transport in cells and tissues and can also be a tool for permeability studies of other materials.
Advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) are formed by the non-enzymatic reaction of sugars and proteins. Among the AGEs, glyceraldehyde-derived toxic AGEs (TAGE) are associated with various diseases, including diabetic complications such as diabetic retinopathy (DR). The risk of developing DR is

In order to analyze whether measles virus (MV) is transported via transmigrating leukocytes across endothelial barriers or whether virus spreads via infection of endothelial cells and basolateral release, we investigated the migratory behavior of infected human primary T lymphocytes across

Phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylcholine-derived metabolites exhibit anti-inflammatory properties in various stress conditions. We hypothesized that dietary phosphatidylcholine may potentially function as an anti-inflammatory substance and may decrease inflammatory activation in a chronic murine model of rheumatoid arthritis (collagen-induced arthritis). VEGFR1 and 2 signaling have both been increasingly shown to mediate complications of ischemic retinopathies, including retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and diabetic retinopathy (DR). This study evaluates the effects of blocking VEGFR1 and 2 on pathological
