Quality Control Testing

N-myc-interactor (UniProt Q13287; also known as N-myc and STAT interactor, Nmi) is encoded by the NMI gene (Gene ID 9111) in human. NMI is a signaling pathway regulator that is involved in innate immune system response. In response to IL-2 and IFN γ it interacts with STAT proteins that activate the transcription of downstream genes involved in a multitude of signals for development and homeostasis. In response to interferon IFN α, it associates in a complex with signaling pathway regulator interferon-induced protein 35 (IFI35) to regulate immune response. This complex formation prevents proteasome-mediated degradation of IFI35. NMI lacks an intrinsic transcriptional activation domain; instead, it enhances the association of CBP/p300 coactivator proteins with STAT1 and STAT5, which results in increased STAT1- and STAT5-dependent transcription. In addition to serving as an intracellular signaling pathway regulator, it also functions extracellularly as damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) to promote inflammation, when actively released by macrophages to the extracellular space during cell injury or pathogen invasion. Macrophage-secreted NMI activates NF-kB signaling in adjacent macrophages through Toll-like receptor 4 binding and activation, thereby inducing NF-kB translocation from the cytoplasm into the nucleus to promote the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines. NMI expression is observed in adult spleen, liver, and kidney and in fetal thymus, liver, spleen, lung, and kidney. It contains two NID domains (aa 103-192 and 201-292) that are essential for its interaction with IFI35. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, Affinity™, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. 外觀
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
