MLCK 或肌球蛋白轻链激酶是免疫球蛋白基因超家族的肌肉成员,是一种钙/钙调蛋白依赖性蛋白激酶。MLCK 是一种平滑肌收缩调节蛋白,通过磷酸化 20-kDa 肌球蛋白轻链 (MLC20) 激活肌球蛋白腺苷三磷酸酶活性发挥作用。磷酸化的激酶活性位于 MLCK 的中心部分,其 N 端具有肌动蛋白结合活性,C 端具有肌球蛋白结合活性。肌球蛋白调节轻链的磷酸化在控制细胞分裂过程中的形态变化中起角色重要作用。
