DNA-damage inducible 1 homolog 2 (DDI2) contains a ubiquitin-like domain (UBL) at the N-terminus and a retroviral aspartyl protease (RVP) domain near the C-terminus. It is located on human chromosome 1p36.21.

應用

生化/生理作用

DNA-damage inducible 1 homolog 2 (DDI2) is essential to cleave and trigger Nrf1 (nuclear respiratory factor 1). It helps to convert full-length, cytosolic Nrf1 to its active form. DDI2 also participates in the basal expression of proteasomes using its catalytic activity.
