NVP-LDZ982 (NITD-982) is a dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) inhibitor (Kd = 27 nM) with broad-spectrum antiviral activity by targeting host cell de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis pathway. NITD-982 inhibits various viral replications in cultues, including Dengue (DENV EC50 = 5-2.6 nM; A549), hepatitis C virus (HCV EC50 = 7-12.6 nM; Huh-7), HIV (MDR769 EC50 = 0.97 nM; PBMC), Influenza (EC50 = 32 nM/H1N1, 117 nM/B, 217 nM/H1N3; MDCK), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV EC50 = 7-9 nM; Hep-2), and Yellow fever (strain 17D EC50 = 8.2 nM; A549).
