Rsk1 is a ubiquitously expressed, mitogen-activated protein that belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family. It has a pivotal role in facilitating MEK-MAP kinase cell survival signaling and supressing pro-apoptotic function of BAD by its phosphorylation. Anti-phospho-Rsk1 (p90rsk) (pSer381) antibody can be used to detect Rsk1 when phosphorylated at phosphoserine 381. It can also be used in immunoprecipitation (diluted 1:200). Rabbit anti-phospho-Rsk1 (p90rsk) (pSer381) antibody reacts specifically with phosphorylated Rsk1 and not with nonphosphorylated Rsk1. The product has also specificity for Rsk1 of rat, mouse and human.
Immunogen
Synthetic phospho-Ser381 peptide corresponding to residues around Ser381 of human (p90rsk) conjugated to KLH.
Application
Anti-phospho-Rsk1 (p90rsk) (pSer381) antibody can be used in western blotting (diluted 1:1000) using TPA-treated 293 cell extract. It can also be used in immunocytochemistry (diluted 1:2000).
Physical form
Solution in 10 mM sodium HEPES, pH 7.5, containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 100 μg/ml bovine serum albumin and 50% glycerol.

Growth factors activate an array of cell survival signaling pathways. Mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases transduce signals emanating from their upstream activators MAP kinase kinases (MEKs). The MEK-MAP kinase signaling cassette is a key regulatory pathway promoting cell survival. The downstream
