Cell Line Description

JCRBNo 1435, lot number 11032011. This line is a derivative of the WIL-2 lymphoblast cell line. The cells are heterozygous at the thymidine (TK) kinase locus and can be used to quantitatively detect forward mutations at 3 loci.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 (R0883) + 10% Horse Serum + 2mM L-Glutamine (G7513) + 1.8 mMolar Sodium Pyruvate(NaP) (S8636). Cryopreserve cells in culture medium with cells heat-inactivated 10% Horse Serum and 10% Dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO)

Subculture Routine

Dilute cell in fresh medium at 0.1- 1.5 x 105 cells per ml.
