Cell Line Description
ZL55 was derived from an epithelial tumor of the pleural cavity of a 52-year old male, prior to treatment, with a known history of exposure to asbestos.

Culture Medium
DMEM:HAMS F12 (1:1) + 2mM Glutamine + 15% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Subculture Routine
Split subconfluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:10 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Suggested seeding density 1-4 x 10,000 cells/cm².
