Gene Information

human ... DBP(1628)

General description

D site of albumin promoter (albumin D-box) binding protein or DBP is a transcription factor that belongs to the PAR bZIP family. DBP is known to interact with promoter sequences in genes such as CYP2A5, CYP2A5 and albumin. Furthemore, Dbp is reportedly involved in the transcription of certain circadian clock genes.
Rabbit Anti-DBP (AB1) antibody recognizes human, mouse, rat, bovine, and canine DBP.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human DBP

Application

Rabbit Anti-DBP (AB1) antibody can be used for western blot assays at a dilution of 1.0μg/ml. The antibody can also be used for IHC applications at 4-8μg/ml, using paraffin-embedded tissues.

Biochem/physiol Actions

DBP is a member of the PAR bZIP (proline and acidic amino acid-rich basic leucine zipper) transcription factor family (Khatib et al., 1994.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: SSPGHAPARAALGTASGHRAGLTSRDTPSPVDPDTVEVLMTFEPDPADLA

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
