General description

Tributylamine is a tertiary amine. It has been reported to prevent the corrosion of mild steel in HCl solution.[1]

Application

Tributylamine (n-Bu₃N) may be used in the following studies:

• To compose the mobile phase for the liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis.[2]
• Preparation of Pd_Cl,N and Pd_OAc,N (palladium nanoparticles).[3]
• As an additive during the synthesis of 3-bromothieno[3,2-c]pyridine-4-(5H)-one.[4]
