General description

CD79beta is restricted to the B-cell lineage, and is found in pro-B cells before Ig heavy-chain gene rearrangement but after CD79alpha expression. The antibody reacts with an epitope on the extracellular domain of CD79 (Yoshida, 1995). Anti-CD79beta, SN8, was included in the Fifth International Workshop and Conference on Human Leucocyte Differentiation Antigens, and studies by a number of laboratories confirmed its reactivity with CD79beta (Engel, 1995; Persin, 1995).

Specificity

Antibody recognizes Human CD79b antigen.

Application

Milli-Mark Anti-CD79β-FITC Antibody, clone SN8 detects level of CD79β & has been published & validated for use in FC.
