General description

Tungsten disulfide suspension (WS2) (1 mg/mL in water) is a two dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) material with a hexagonal configuration. It is a graphene like material that has a honeycomb network. Its properties include high flexibility, and moderate mobility of charge carriers.

Application

Owing to the thickness dependent physical and chemical properties, the transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) based two dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have drawn significant attention recently. The atomically thin layers of MoS2 and WS2 represent important class of TMD based 2D-material and they find applications in photocatalysis, phtotovoltaics, gas sensing, lithium ion batteries, field effect transistors, spintronics etc.
WS2 suspensions can be used in the fabrication of a variety of devices which include humidity sensors, and lithium ion battery. It can also be used as a catalyst for water decomposition.
