Application

trans-1,4-Dichloro-2-butene was used as starting reagent in the synthesis of trans-tetrahydrofuran (THF) ring building block[1]. It was also employed in the chemical synthesis of swainsonine [(1S,2R,8R,8 αR)-trihydroxyindolizidine][2] and 9-alkylpurines[3].
