General description
Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB (PDGF-BB) is a cystine-linked homodimer that belongs to PDGF growth factor family and is expressed mainly by vascular endothelium, megakaryocytes and Leydig cells. It has key roles in regulating neurogenesis, producing proinflammatory cytokines by orbital fibroblasts in Graves′ Ophthalmopathy, cell proliferation, development, angiogenesis and cell survival. Anti-Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB antibody can be used for neutralizing the biological activity of recombinant human PDGF-BB, recombinant human-AB, natural human PDGF, rat PDGF-BB, and porcine PDGF-BB. It can also neutralize recombinant human PDGF-AA at 50-100 fold high IgG concentration. Goat Anti-Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB antibody reacts specifically with human PDGF-BB. The product has also shown less than 10% cross-reactivity for recombinant human PDGF-AA.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PDGF-BB expressed in Escherichia coli.
Application
Anti-Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB antibody can be used in immunoblotting and ELISA.
Physical form
Lyophilized from 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4 with 5% trehalose.

Graves' ophthalmopathy (GO) is characterized by the infiltration of immune cells into the orbit, a process in which cytokines play a central role. Orbital fibroblasts are potent producers of cytokines on different stimuli. Recently, the authors showed increased expression of

Recent advances in genetic manipulation have greatly expanded our understanding of cellular responses to platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) during animal development. In addition to driving mesenchymal proliferation, PDGFs have been shown to direct the migration, differentiation and function of a

Platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) has been reported to provide tropic support for neurons in the CNS. However, whether PDGF-BB regulates neurogenesis, especially in the context of HIV-associated neurological disorder and drug abuse, remains essentially unknown. In this study, we demonstrate

Platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) and their receptors (PDGFRs) have served as prototypes for growth factor and receptor tyrosine kinase function for more than 25 years. Studies of PDGFs and PDGFRs in animal development have revealed roles for PDGFR-alpha signaling in
