General description

The Human PDGF-BB ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human PDGF-BB in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

Immunogen

Recombinant Human PDGF-BB

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Human PDGF-BB ELISA Kit has been used to measure PDGF-BB (platelet-derived growth factor BB) concentration in human coronary artery smooth muscle cells (HCASMCs).

Biochem/physiol Actions

PDGF-BB (platelet-derived growth factor BB) stimulates lymphatic metastasis and intratumoral lymphangiogenesis. PDGF-BB might be implicated in regulation of angiogenesis and endothelial proliferation. PDGF-BB expressed in placental endothelial cell activates signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway and recruits human placental multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (hPMSCs) for placental vascularization. Heterozygous mutation in PDGF-B is associated with primary familial brain calcification.

Elevated circulating activity of adenosine deaminase 2 (ADA2) is associated with liver fibrosis in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). In the liver of NAFLD patients, ADA2-positive portal macrophages are significantly associated with the degree of liver fibrosis. These liver macrophages
