General description

2-Ethylidene-1,5-dimethyl-3,3-diphenylpyrrolidine perchlorate is a primary metabolite of methadone.[1]

Application

2-Ethylidene-1,5-dimethyl-3,3-diphenylpyrrolidine perchlorate has been used as a standard in the quantitative determination of of methadone and metabolites in human meconium using liquid chromatography coupled with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization tandem mass spectrometry technique (LC–APCI–MS/MS).[1]
A metabolite of methadone, useful as a marker in GC-MS analyses.
